Statement of Organization and Purpose: The Field Studies and Ecosystem Services Committee exists to promote the use of best practices in study design and data collection, and the quantification of ecosystem services in freshwater mollusk research. This includes increasing the standardization of data collection, storage, and sharing across the FMCS membership. It also includes recommending standardized terminology and methods, and identifying research gaps and future directions.
