= Healthy Rivers = Healthy People
The Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society's 2009
Symposium focused on the ongoing work of North American malacologists
to restore, conserve, and understand our freshwater mollusks. In
2009, however, we broadened the scope and reach beyond our organization
to share information and learn from our international and tribal
partners.
FMCS membership is made up of agency, industry, non-governmental organizations
and academicians from across North America, mostly from the eastern
US and Canada but with an increasing overseas interest.
